zasep rinpocheThe Venerable Acharya Zasep Tulku Rinpoche is a highly accomplished and realized Vajrayana master of the Gelugpa school in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition

Born in eastern Tibet in 1948, Zasep Rinpoche was enthroned as the Thirteen Zasep Tulku (incarnation) at Zuru Monastery at the age of five. After the Chinese Army invaded in 1959, Rinpoche fled Tibet, going first to Nepal, then India.

In 1961 he embarked upon ten years of intensive meditation and study with the highly realized teacher Geshe Thubten Wangyal. Rinpoche then completed his Acharya (Master’s) Degree in Buddhist philosophy at Varanasi Sanskrit University in 1975, at which time he was sent to Southeast Asia to study vipassana meditation and Theravada Buddhist traditions in the forest temples of Thailand. In mid-1976, Rinpoche moved to Australia to translate and teach at the Chenrezig Institute for Wisdom Culture at the request of Lama Thubten Yeshe.

Chod Initiation of Five Dakinis
The essence of Chod practice is the perfection of Wisdom and Boddhichitta. Chod means cutting ego – self grasping and self cherishing by developing true compassion for all living beings. It’s a musical practice that involves the deity yoga of Dakini Machig Labdron, the Five Dakinis and the Mahamata – great Prajanaparamita. With dedication Chod practice helps deepen our commitments to the Dharma path.

Gaden Ear Whispered lineage of Black Dakini
The Gaden Ear Whispered Lineage Black Dakini is known as Troma Nagmo. This lineage is a very unique practice descended from Manjushri, to Lama Umapa to Lama Je Tsongkapa. This Dakini practice was the personal practice of Lama Je Tsongksapa. *Only those who have recieved this Initiation can attend!!!

Gaden Ear Whispered lineage of Black Dakini
We will continue with commentary on the generation stage, completion practice and an advanced body mandala practice. It is considered a Highest Tantric practice of the Mother Tantra. She is also known as Black Vajrayogini. *Only those who have recieved this Initiation can attend!!!

Logic and Debate on the Nature of Mind
The Buddhist logic of Parmana is very analytical practice. This style of Tibetan Buddhist debate is very unique and its practice of debate will enhance one’s own understanding of Buddhist philosophy as it generates excitement and appreciation to learn the Buddha Dharma.

Green Tara Initiation
Green Tara is a feminine embodiment of the swift-acting love and compassion of all the Buddhas. By undertaking Green Tara practice, we invoke her blessings in our everyday lives and cultivate those qualities ourselves to be of greater benefit to all beings. Eventually, we ourselves attain her perfect enlightenment. According to tradition, refuge and bodhisattva commitments will be given as a preliminary to the initiation.

Chittamani Tara Initiation
Chittamani Tara is the Highest Yoga Tantra form of Green Tara, the female embodiment of the loving kindness of all the Buddhas. Chitamani Tara practice is quickly ripens our Buddhanature by identifying with the enlightened body, speech, mind, activity, and environment of the guru-Buddha.

Chittamani Tara Commentary and Practice
Chittamani Tara is the Highest Yoga Tantra form of Green Tara, the female embodiment of the loving kindness of all the Buddhas. Chitamani Tara practice is quickly ripens our Buddhanature by identifying with the enlightened body, speech, mind, activity, and environment of the guru-Buddha. Those who have received the Chittamani Tara initiation are invited to attend this one day retreat, where Rinpoche will explain the practice, lead meditation, and be available to clarify all of our questions.

Lam Rim is a step by step guide for training on the path to enlightenment. Please join us as Rinpoche introduces the Lam Rim and explains how to integrate its practice into our daily life, both on and off the meditation cushion. !
