I recently read an interesting article about Master Cheng Yen from Taiwan, how she founded the Tzu Chi Foundation and how it became Taiwan’s largest charity organization. The charity has been active in Canada for some time, but with a low profile. Most people don’t associate Buddhism in Canada with global charity work. I know I knew virtually nothing about them. Perhaps that will change…
