The Great Enlightenment Buddhist Institute, a PEI Buddhist monastery originally established by Buddhists from Taiwan, got off to a rocky start and keeps a low profile as they put down roots in their small community.

Lorin Panting, who recently passed away at 87, was one local benefactor who took them under his wing, and the monastery took the opportunity to share their appreciation of him… Here’s the story, from PEI’s The Guardian newspaper:
