Book Launch and Signing: "The Wealthy Buddhist" by Rod Burylo
This event is a seminar led by author Rod Burylo who released his book, “The Wealthy Buddhist”, in January 2019. Rod is a Business Development Manager at RN Croft Financial Group, where he provides education and support to financial services organizations, investment advisors, and clients. He is also the Director of the Foundation for the Advancement of Entrepreneurship.

“The Wealthy Buddhist” discusses the ethical ways of raising capital as an entrepreneur, such as achieving financial success through a livelihood that seeks to establish trust, increase happiness, reduce suffering, practice effective communication, and develop the relationship between wealth creation and morality.

This book does not promote Buddhism and is not targeted towards Buddhists; it focuses on looking at financial wealth from a Buddhist perspective in the modern world, reflecting the contemporary North American experience of living and working.

Through this book launch, Rod will discuss how to have a moral outlook when it comes to making money, balancing this with a sense of responsibility, and adding value to others while achieving financial wealth in the process.

Rod describes this book as important for students/millennials to know about when building their future.

For Millennials, entrepreneurs, and those simply seeking a new path, The Wealthy Buddhist provides practical strategies on how to accomplish their goals without compromising their values.

The seminar will encourage a conversation with those in attendance and how it applies to various faculties and fields of study.

This event is open to students across all faculties, staff, faculty, alumni and community members.

Food and snacks will be available.

This event is free but registration is required.
