Canadian Buddhist Directory upgrades with Sumeru

Buddhism Buddhism in Canada Buddhist community Publishing Publishing in a digital world

Buddhism in Canada (www.buddhismcanada.com), a directory of Canadian Buddhist temples, centres, associations, groups, etc. is partnering with The Sumeru Press for an important upgrade to their web service. The original site was created in 1997 and has been maintained by George Klima with some assistance from Chris Ng and others.

The new version, being designed by Justin Wah Kan and Sumeru, will include a live content-management-system platform, full search with a variety of parameters, links to Google maps, and an easy-to-use system for organizations to update their own data securely.

Beta testing is scheduled for early summer, just after the solstice. Upon successful implementation of phase one, phase two will focus on building a smartphone application and social media extensions.

We are extremely excited and proud to be involved in this extremely worthwhile project.
