One presenter was Nathan Jishin Michon, who attended from Japan where he is a Fulbright fellow at Tohoku University and doctoral candidate at the Graduate Theological Union’s Institute for Buddhist studies. Jishin is co-editor of A THOUSAND HANDS: A Guidebook to Caring for Your Buddhist Community (one of the few books on Buddhist chaplaincy, and published by Sumeru) ...
Another presenter was Rev. Monica Sanford, assistant director for spirituality and religious life at Rochester Institute of Technology. Rev. Sanford is the author of Kalyāṇamitra: A Buddhist Model for Spiritual Care (forthcoming from Sumeru).
