The World Parliament of Religions (est. 1893) will be holding its 7th Parliament. This one will be in Toronto, November 1-7, 2018. Approximately 10,000 people are expected to attend. AMITABHA MEMORIAL PUJA FOR LAMA NAMSE RINPOCHE NOV 25 & 26, 2017 In honor of the Venerable Lama Namse Rinpoche, there will be an Amitabha Tsok on November 25 and 26, led by Khenpo Tsulnam Rinpoche. A vegetarian lunch will be served. Everyone is invited to attend this two-day puja in honour of the founding Resident Lama of Karma Sonam Dargye Ling.

Ottawa Friends of Tibet 21st gala
My wife and I had the pleasure of attending the Ottawa Friends of Tibet 21st gala last night. The OFT raises about $15,000 each year from the event. The money goes to support orphanages, seniors homes, and educational scholarships. These are located in India, Nepal, and Tibet. OFT's main international partner is Child Haven International. Since this was the 21st annual event, an auspicious number, the evening's theme was thangka paintings of the 21 Taras, lent for the evening from homes within the Ottawa Tibetan community.
