The Venerable Thich Nhat Hanh and monastics of Plum Village, Deer Park Monastery, Blue Cliff Monastery, and Magnolia Village will hold a residential meditation retreat and a public lecture in Vancouver, August of 2011, sponsored by the University of British Columbia and the Tung Lin Kok Yuen Canada Society:

There is lots happening behind the scenes on the Thich Nhat Hanh events. The next major hurdle is the registration system. Once that is up and running, formal publicity will begin to flow. A 6-day retreat for 700 participants plus a lecture is an enormous undertaking. More details to follow.
