Geo-location technology has evolved dramatically since we first tried adding a Google Map API to the directory in 2010. It was so unstable we had to give up the attempt. Now, creating the map was a breeze, and took only a few days to build from my database.
My database is, in fact, larger than what has been pinned to the map. There are other sanghas who have websites and social media presence, but do not meet at a regular physical location under their own names. Hopefully, in the near future, I'll figure out a way to add them to the map too. But for now...
