Tibetan Yoga taught by Lama Migmar
Sat. & Sun Oct. 26 & 27 at Institute of Traditional Medicine
Free Teaching: Fri Oct 25
In this workshop led by Lama Migmar Tseten, Chaplain at Harvard University, you will take part in a traditional Yantra Yoga initiation ceremony and learn to work directly with the body’s subtle energy systems by using Yantra Yoga postures (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama) and mantras.
This training is a rare opportunity to experience the living lineage of Yantra Yoga, extending in an unbroken succession for over 1,000 years. Given the nature of these teachings, at least one full year of yoga experience is required to participate. One does not have to be a Buddhist to participate. Click on link for more information.
Lama Migmar Tseten was born in Tibet and received the Acharya degree from the Tibetan Institute Sanskrit University at Varanasi, where he was recognized for academic achievement by H.H. the Dalai Lama. He was also recognized as Khenpo by HH Sakya Trizin. Lama Migmar serves as Buddhist chaplain at Harvard University and is director of the Sakya Institute of Buddhist Studies in Cambridge, MA. www.lamamigmar.net
