The International Buddhist Foundation of Canada, along with its partners in the Calgary Buddhist Community, are pleased to offer the people of Calgary this wonderful opportunity to come together in an informal setting to reflect on the possibilities our positive thoughts and actions can have in our own lives as well as in our community.
The name ’Change Your Mind Day’ reflects the fundamental Buddhist teaching that we can change our lives by changing our thoughts. It was first held in New York City’s Central Park in 1993 and now is held in cities across North America.
Activities will include:
Alms will be offered to the Buddhist Monks and Nuns, who will be in attendance from a variety of countries, cultures and traditions at 10:30am. Everyone is welcome to participate
Cultural performances in Song, Music & Dance from Japan, Cambodia, Sri Lanka and Tibet
Meditation: Sitting and Walking.
Arts & crafts activities for children of all ages
Cultural Crafts for sale from various communities
