Tezuka Osamu’s “Buddha – The Great Departure” animated feature film premieres in Vancouver 9.11.12

In collaboration with the Canadian Society for Asian Arts, Vancouver Shinpo, and the Buddhism and Contemporary Society Program, UBC. MOA is pleased to co-host the Canadian Premiere of Buddha: The Great Departure in conjunction with Visions of Enlightenment: Buddhist Art at MOA.

In the distinctive style of Tezuka Osamu’s manga, the full-length animated film presents the epic tale that explores the inner struggles and greater societal clashes that transformed Siddhartha from prince to Buddha.
