Prof. Wilson is an Associate Professor of Religious Studies and East Asian Studies at the University of Waterloo. He is the author of the popular Buddhism of the Heart: Reflections on Shin Buddhism and Inner Togetherness (2009) and recently publishedDixie Dharma: Inside a Buddhist Temple in the American South (2012). Wilson Sensei completed his Tokudo Buddhist ordination from the Nishi Hongwanji Temple (Kyoto, Japan) in May, 2012 and currently serves as Ministers’ Assistant for Jodo Shinshu Temples in Ontario.
