At his lecture (Buddhism in Canada) last night in Toronto, hosted by the Japan Foundation, Victor Sogen Hori of McGill University announced that his newest book, Flowers on the Rock – More Buddhism in Canada, co-edited with John Harding and Alexander Soucy, has gone to the publisher (MQUP) now. This is the sequel to their earlier 2009 book, Wild Geese.
I asked Professor Hori what will be in the new book, and he said it would address several areas that received less space in the first volume, such as Theravada Buddhism in Canada, and development of Buddhism on the West Coast, among other topics.
